Who we are
The Tour Directory is operated by Tourpreneur LLC, which is what “we” means below. TripSchool and other organisations supply members who are listed here, and are not a party to these terms. Contact us at hello@tourpreneur.com.
Using the site
Browsing the directory, being listed on it, or sending us anything to publish means these terms apply to you. If you are acting for a business, you confirm you are allowed to. Browse it, link to it, and contact the people on it. Do not scrape it, republish it as your own directory, or use the contact details on it to send bulk unsolicited email.
What the directory is
A public list of tour operators, guides, and companies that sell to this industry. Free to browse and free to join. We are not a travel agent or a booking service, take no commission, and process no payments for tours. A listing is not a recommendation, and we do not verify what it says. Anything you arrange with a business you found here is between you and them.
How listings are ordered
Tourpreneur PRO members, Preferred Partners and TripSchool-certified guides appear first, and their listings can show more: an intro video, links to Instagram and Facebook, and a description on the listing card. Those memberships are paid and both Tourpreneur and the organisation earn from them, so this is paid placement. Where a listing sits is not a judgement about the business. Any other organisation given the same treatment is named here.
What you send us
You are responsible for what your profile, request or event submission says, and you confirm you have the right to share it, including any logo or photograph. You keep ownership of it. You give us permission to publish it here, store it, resize it, show extracts, and let search engines index it. That permission ends when the material comes down, though copies may remain in backups and search caches we do not control. If something you post lands us with a legal claim or costs, you are responsible for what it costs us.
We may edit, decline or remove anything. On the requests board we do not check who posts or who answers, so anything you agree is between you and the other party, and we take no fee. Event details come from the organiser, so confirm dates, venue and price before you book travel.
Why we remove things
- The business is not real, has stopped trading, or is not in this industry.
- The listing is an advertisement.
- Spam: bulk email to contacts taken from the directory, copying it to build a mailing list, posting the same request repeatedly, or contacting someone who has asked you to stop.
- A pattern of complaints from people who have dealt with you.
We will normally tell you why, and will usually ask you to put it right first.
Complaints
We do not act on a single complaint. We act on a pattern: several people, independently, reporting the same thing. We will tell you what we have been told, without identifying who told us, and give you a chance to answer. We do not investigate and we do not referee disputes. The only decision we make is whether to keep listing you, and we publish no reason for it.
Taking something down
Email hello@tourpreneur.com with the address of the page and what on it is yours. We will take it down while we look. The same applies to anything you believe is defamatory, and to a photograph of you that you did not agree to.
No promises
The directory is provided as it is. Information can be out of date and the site can be unavailable. We make no promise that it is accurate, complete or fit for what you are using it for, and we do not stand behind any business listed on it. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your use of the directory or from anything you arrange with a business on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
Names and logos
Company names and logos belong to the businesses they identify. The design, text and structure of the site belong to Tourpreneur.
Legal
These terms are governed by the law of the State of New York, and the courts of Kings County, New York deal with any dispute about them. If the law where you live gives you rights you cannot sign away, this does not take them from you. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stands. We may transfer them to whoever runs the directory next. Legal notices go to Tourpreneur LLC, 180 Front Street, Unit 8F, Brooklyn, NY 11201. With the privacy page, these terms are the whole agreement between us. We may update them, and the date at the top says when they last changed.
