About
I’m Thierry, founder of Meet Africa Travel, a tour operator based in Lomé, Togo. We design, sell and run tours across Togo, Benin and Ghana, from family day trips to multi-week road trips and heritage journeys for the African diaspora. I left a career in financial services consulting because I was tired of the big corporate world and wanted to build my own business in West Africa, one that would also challenge the negative image of Africa in the media by inviting people to come and see it for themselves. Our tours focus on real encounters, responsible travel and fair partnerships with local communities. I’ve taken a Trip School course to sharpen my own skills, and I’m now looking at ways to help my team of guides and staff grow with me.
