"C'est mon plaisir." Just like Isabella Stewart Gardner, I believe sharing vibrant history should be driven by genuine passion.

About

I am a Boston-based hospitality professional transitioning into luxury tour directing, specializing in high-touch service, complex group dynamics, and seamless client coordination. With my completed TripSchool Online Certification and an upcoming in-person practical boot camp in January 2027, I am building on decades of experience caring for clients, leading teams, and managing complex logistics. My background bridges two service-focused careers. I spent fourteen years as an international flight attendant with Northwest Airlines, frequently serving as lead flight attendant in first and business class, coordinating crew, premium service, and safety procedures. This was followed by over two decades in Boston and North Shore luxury real estate, including three years as a sales manager. These roles required discretion, vendor coordination, careful attention to detail, and the ability to guide people calmly through important decisions and unexpected changes. Based just outside Boston near Logan International Airport, I am well positioned for regional departures, New England autumn foliage itineraries, and international assignments. My destination familiarity includes Boston, New England, Amsterdam, Iceland, Nova Scotia, and Tortola, and I am continuing to develop my conversational French. I thrive in active, fast-paced environments and enjoy making people feel welcomed and cared for. I look forward to bringing my warmth, curiosity, and anticipatory approach to service into tour direction, helping guests connect with both the destination and one another.

Hobbies & Interests

I am driven by a genuine curiosity about people, local culture, and the vibrant traditions that make a place come alive. I love good food, fine wine, cooking, and discovering the unique, hidden stories that make every destination memorable. An avid reader, I especially enjoy audiobooks because they allow me to walk and learn simultaneously. When I'm at home in Boston, I keep active and busy caring for my two beloved dogs.

Fun Fact

"I was once in a car accident with Big Papi and ran into him again years later at a convention, where I reminded him who I was. Head over to my Instagram profile (@Susan.Doig) to see the photo from our second meeting!"
