I’m a New York City native, licensed NYC sightseeing guide, and AICP-certified urban planner with 10 years of professional experience in transportation, infrastructure, and urban planning. I founded Region NYC to share my fascination with the systems that keep big cities moving. My tours explore the history, infrastructure, and hidden details of the NYC Subway, Grand Central Terminal, Penn Station, Brooklyn’s transit network, and the East River waterfront. I especially enjoy helping guests understand not just what they’re looking at, but why New York developed the way it did and how the city works behind the scenes.

I tend to plan my travels around transportation and infrastructure. Put me in a new city and I’m usually just as interested in its subway stations, trains, ferries, and public works as I am in the traditional tourist attractions.
