About
I reside on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and enjoy bicycling in the city and delivering tours to visitors of all ages. I particularly look forward to tours of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I’ve begun splitting my time between New York and New Orleans. Down in NOLA I’ve created pedicab tours for the French Quarter and Garden District. In the spring months I enjoy directing tours for students to Boston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. In addition I tour the music cities, National Parks, Canada and Niagara Falls. Recently, I concluded an enjoyable tour of Italy, and Switzerland. I value variety and new experiences feeling that if one does too much of the same thing inevitably one becomes stale. Recently, I received Austrian citizenship so now with the legal right to work and reside in the European Union I expect to be spending more time in Europe each year. A few years ago I took Trip School’s New England Fall Foliage training. That turned out to be invaluable when I was asked by a tour operator to design a New England tour for them. Later on I took the Trip School Tech in Tourism Course which improved all of my tours. Thanks Trip School!
Hobbies & Interests
I enjoy touring by bicycle. I don’t do it professionally. This is just for fun. I’ve bicycled across the United States east to west and north to south. I’ve bicycled thousands of miles across India, and also experienced Canada, Mexico, and Central America. I do merge my professional life with my cycling hobby in one way. A few times per year I like to deliver Garden District tours by pedicab in New Orleans.
Fun Fact
I paddled a dugout canoe of my own design and construction down the length of the Amazon River. Note to website moderator: Does my fun fact have to be true?
