I’m Deniss Ibarra, born and raised in Mexico. I moved to the U.S. about 10 years ago, taught myself English, and along the way fell in love with Boston—its history, diverse neighborhoods, culture, and the many stories that make this city so special. For the past three years, I’ve been the founder of Explora Boston, where I create and lead personalized tours and local experiences for travelers from around the world. Through my work, I’ve had the opportunity to share not only Boston’s iconic landmarks and historical sites, but also its hidden corners, local neighborhoods, and off-the-beaten-path experiences that visitors might not discover on their own. I’m warm, welcoming, and genuinely enjoy connecting with people from different cultures and backgrounds. For me, guiding is about more than showing someone around—it’s about helping them feel comfortable, experience the destination through a local perspective, and leave with great memories. I love sharing my knowledge and personal experience of Boston and other destinations with curious travelers who want to explore, learn, and experience a place beyond the typical tourist route.
